Controller operates On/Off and dimming up to 50 feet.  Use a short push for On/Off and a long push for dimming.  When turned off, unit's memory retains last dimming level selected.  Just plug Receiver into an INDOOR wall outlet and then plug lamp cord into the Receiver.  There are two frequencies available (A & B) for multiple use.  Controller MUST match Receiver frequency.   When using a 3-way lamp, be sure light is turned on to the "highest" position.
